Piano Recital

Danny and Caleb Reinhold performing at their
piano recital on May 11,2013.

It has been thirty years of friendship with Pastor Dick and Elvira Nickel. Saturday, May 11, was a special evening at Rainbow Bible Ranch as Mrs. Nickel and her piano students conducted their annual spring recital. What an enjoyable evening with some very special families.

No Mother in Law Jokes Here.

A mother-in-law joke is truly an oxymoron to me. One could say that when I got married; I not only got a wife, but a car, two horses and great in-laws. And since today is Mother's Day, I will stand on my platform and say to a wonderful lady..."Happy Mother's day to Ellen Paulton!" You are a blessing to me and my family.

Happy Mom's Day

To Robin Reinhold on Mother’s Day 2013
From Kiersten, Julia, Caleb, Danny, Molly and Rachel Reinhold

We are very blessed to be able to have the mom that we do and are reminded of it each day as she is passionate about cooking and gardening and feeding us good healthy food to keep us going strong all day long! She enjoys grinding our own wheat to bake bread or cooking some of our ranch raised beef. She also is our teacher as she home schools all six of us kids! Not only is she passionate about raising her family on our ranch, the same ranch that my dad and grandpa were raised on, but she along with my Dad open our ranch to hundreds of kids and their families from all over the country each Summer as we have a camp for kids called Rainbow Bible Ranch. We share “working family ranch lifestyle” with kids from all over the country. Last year we had 17 states represented.

Happy Mother's Day

The Tige and Vicky Reinhold family back in the day of black & white. Over half of the family is with the Lord in heaven as I write this. However, I just want to credit my mother for being a great mom. She was willing to be used by God...That is what made her a great mom. I along with my family will rise up and call her "Blessed". FIRESKY

This phenomena...here at the Ranch, we call "Firesky" Not smog as in Los Angeles, but rather due to drought, dust and fire when the land is caught in a stranglehold of limited moisture. We have seen plenty of these since the year 2001. Many again last year in 2012...and yes, this season continues to be dry. Let remember that even though "Firesky" seems the norm, God is still God. Let us seek HIS face during the time of drought and during the time of plenty.

THE FEDDES FAMILY

Marvin and Nell Feddes stopped and stayed overnight with us. They are from Manhattan, Montana and we have been buying bulls and enjoying their fellowship for nearly 20 years. This is a photo of some of their cattle.

I like a paragraph from their website that states: "We are thankful to our Creator and Savior for the privilege of caring for the land, developing cattle to a higher level, helping to feed our nation, and making a good living for our families while enjoying the ranching lifestyle. We are especially thankful for the relationships we have formed over the years and for the opportunity to help others succeed in reaching their goals. This is not just a business for us. It is a way of life and a gift from God."

Thanks for being such great friends.

COUNTRY KIDS RELAY TEAM

The Union Center boys got second in their heat in the 4x1. They have a lot of fun together on this team. They kids come from all over rural Meade County and practice once a week at the Central Meade County Community Center. The team is not large in numbers, but represent well. Danny Reinhold, Rowdy Thompson, Jade Graham Jarod Simons.

Julia with Whiskers

This is Julia with Whiskers.

Whiskers is the rabbit...!!!

This is Whiskers. A cottontail rabbit that Molly caught in the basement at the Henricks Place. We were surprised to see one so small, so early. Rainbow has lots of different animals to enjoy. Oh and Spur our three footed mamma cat had four kittens two days ago. They will be just right for Little Ranchers Camp.

COFFEE IS ON

Lori Wilken of Wilkens Angus always claims to have the coffee pot on and invites all to stop in for "a good cup of coffee". We have enjoyed some of that coffee. But if you can't quite make it to Faith, South Dakota to get a good shot of "cowboy coffee"... we generally have the pot on as well. And the welcome mat is always out. Check out Gary and Lori Wilken's bull sale coming up in a couple of weeks. And whether you are at the Wilken's Ranch or the Lonetree... make sure you take some time for quality fellowship.

Can Hardly Wait

The prospects of The Ol' Swimming Hole filling up look much improved as the snow continues to fall. The Reinhold kids can hardly wait, as seen in this fun picture from this afternoon. Weather report... Snow falling at the rate of an inch an hour and temperature at 15 degrees. (Must be the Scandinavian bloodlines)

FOREVER IS AS FAR AS I'LL GO

In May of 1991 God was making it quite obvious that Robin Paulton would be "that special someone" In December 1991 we were married and that is why I get to be part of that special Fourth of July family gathering at Jack and Ellen Paulton's place. As I was writing this, a special song came through our playlist. One of the few country songs in the list. Alabama sang a song back then that we had sung at our wedding reception. It is still true today. LBR

FOREVER IS AS FAR AS I'LL GO
I'll admit I could feel it
The first time that we touched.
The look in your eyes
Said you felt as much
But I'm not a man
Who falls so easily
It's best that you know
Where you stand with me

I will give you my heart
Faithful and true
And all the love it can hold
That's all I can do
But I've thought about
How long I'll love you
And it's only fair that you know
Forever's as far as I'll go.

When there's age around my eyes
And gray in your hair
And it only takes a touch to recall
The love we've shared
I won't take for granted
That you know my love is true
Each night in your arms
I will whisper to you.

I will give you my heart
Faithful and true
And all the love it can hold
That's all I can do
But I've thought about
How long I'll love you
And it's only fair that you know
Forever's as far as I'll go.

WHAT IS TRUTH

You find it so dark in the shadows of the bright new day
Standing at the doorway do you go in or run away
You have learned and have no answers along life’s dusty road
You have packed all the important stuff and now are trapped beneath the load.

All the new beginnings have been given to someone to boot
The helping hand is slippery and is a shallow root.
You’re as free as the wind till the storm has blown you around.
You are ready to bask in the sun’s warm rays, but it too has gone down.

What is truth; Can one color, stretch or twist?
Can it only be half there and the other part be missed.
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”
This is something you should claim and live, I know it works for me.
