HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ROBIN LEE

Happy Mother's Day Robin Lee.
When I was a kid, I thought it was cool to have my birthday on Mother's Day. I would of course tell my mom that she was blessed.  However, yesterday I celebrated my birthday on Mother's day once again and I am blessed to share this Mother's Day with the mother of my our children. Thanks Robin Lee... Oh...and you know what else was fun...? I was told by my sister and kids that it was my golden, golden birthday. I was born on 5/8/58 and I turned 58 years old.  My sister, Lana Morris, said it was more like my g-old-en birthday.
And no Robin is not near as old as I am...

MANY GOOD FOLKS OUT THERE

A family from South Dakota
A man from California
At the Base of the Tetons in Wyoming.
We stopped the vehicle to take a family pic and we had just lined up the kids and Robin was taking the photos. As we were in the process, a small compact car with a single person inside drove by. The Reinhold family is very good at looking at license plates and one of us commented "California". The car went about 150 yards down the road stopped and turned around. As the driver pulled up, he leaned out the window and said, "I wouldn't forgive myself if I had not asked you if you wanted me to take a photo for you." He took several shots and handed back the camera. We said, "Thank you" and he said, "Your welcome." :)
"There are many good folks out there...be one of them." :) This man from California was

Eastern Oregon

We could not see Mt. Hood from the west side, but when we left the Columbia River Gorge and set out across the prairies... we were blessed to see this view of this grand jewel of Oregon.

Mt. Hood

After spending the night in Pendleton, Oregon, we headed south and this is the view looking west from Baker City. We had great day of traveling

Talk about a golden educational trip as well...Today the Oregon Trail along with Fort Hall and numerous other places of interest. Tomorrow over the Tetons to Jackson. Did you know that Jedediah Smith had the first Sunday School in Jackson Hole at rendevouz with mountain men that had gathered there some 150 plus years ago.

THE OREGON COAST

HAYSTACK ROCK… CANNON BEACH, OREGON

Over thirty years ago, I stopped in Garabaldi, Oregon at this Marina. One of my best friends in college, Jay Creasey's, family owned it at that time. Yesterday when we stopped, the first man that we met use to work for Jay's dad, Gerald when he had the marina. They showed great hospitality then and it remains a highlight in my memory bank. Yesterday was no different. I visited with two gentlemen on their boat, the Willapa. They were heading out to the Columbia and were fishing for Black Cod. Fascinating.

SPECIFICALLY THE PACIFIC

WE MADE IT. :)

An afternoon at the beach in Oregon. We live in a beautiful and amazing country.

We love making friends everywhere. The Oregon coast is no different. Barry, it was nice meeting you at the Fish and Chips (where we talked about steak :)) but to run into you on the beach as well...that is too good. Thank you for sharing your campfire. Godspeed.

Robin and I are planning to bring horses. :) What a great family time as we were able to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean from the beach at Cannon Beach, Oregon.

From the lips of those You saved
A redemption song will rise
With a sound so full it cracks the sky!!!

Whoa oh ooh we sing allelujah
Whoa oh ooh we sing amen
Hear the sound of the saints as we march on to Zion singing
Allelujah amen! ( --Audio Adrenaline)

It is good to have all of us back together again

MEMORIES IN MAIDEN VALLEY

Numerous times I would head up the canyon toward the old ghost town of Maiden, Montana Territory. Even though I was about a hundred years later, I never dreamed that the the hallowed halls of this school that would be built near there years later would also become as a ghost town. I learned so much and have been grateful to all that made my education at Montana Institute of the Bible possible. Some would say that the financial duress that caused the school to close was nothing but failure... I am proof that even though we are sad to see nothing but the skeleton of what once the sum of what was and is being accomplished will be one day revealed in eternity to come.

The West Coast

Sure good to see these two together again.

Robin and Kiersten taking one last stroll along the beach before heading for home.

Oh, sure I did.
At Hug Point just south of Cannon Beach, Oregon.

One Quick Story... Broadus, Montana

One quick story....(right)....
One Sunday afternoon when my brother Lyle and I were driving back to school, MIB at Lewistown, Montana, we had car trouble. Lyle's green Chevrolet that he bought from Grandpa Bangert had the water pump go out in Broadus. We stopped and asked someone how to go about finding repairs on a Sunday in 1978 in this small town in SE Montana. We were sent to this garage and the owner came down and went to work. He called the NAPA distributor and he delivered a water pump...In no time we were on the road. Broadus has always ranked high in my books for this act of kindness from folks that cared.

Molly's Graduation

Well Done Molly

The South Dakota Delegation
Ecola Bible School had their graduation today for the one year program. Joshua Hunt, Molly Reinhold and Levi Anderson received their diplomas along with 104 other students today in Seaside, Oregon. It has been a good day.

So nice to get to see the Hunt brothers at Ecola Bible School. Jordan and Joshua... you make us smile.

Happy Birthday Danny 2016

"He's my son;" What a thrill that is for Robin and me to say that of Danny. And today we wish him a blessed 16th birthday celebration. Danny has never been one to hide his feelings...no guessing with him. His facial expressions and eyes give him away so we have seen his heart in many trials and growing experiences. God has a plan for you Danny. We look up to you physically now, but you continue to look up to us as your parents. Thank you. and Happy Birthday Young Man...Son

Branding Crew and Their Horses

Well the kids just got home from helping some friends brand and work cattle. They were able to ride some new country west of Belle Fourche on the Dobesh Ranch.

Rachel is unloading Bonanza. Good Lonetree Ranch horse. Tyson Hewitt put 90 days on years ago. Good using horse today. Caleb Clark rode this good gelding today west of Belle Fourche.

Jim Petty Writes…...Awesome pictures of some dear and awesome young people...and their horses... Takes this old-timer back to the days at their age... Larry and Robin, you are SO BLESSED...and you know it...

No there are no banquets or proms or parties on tap for this crew...but just looking at them... they are OK with that. And after a long day, it is time to show appreciation to your partner. "And God created the Horse!

On the Road

On the road today to a couple of track meets Danny went to Wall, SD and Caleb went to a large middle school event at Douglas with the Union Center team. Caleb won the high jump for 7th grade boys with a jump of 5' and he finished 4th in the 400...Danny wasn't as successful, but has plans to push on himself.

Handiwork...

There are many physical features to the ranch. These two photos taken by Robin this morning represent a couple of them. One mainly features God's handiwork. The breaks are an artistic creation. The second is "Marvin Reinhold Ditch"...the irrigation ditch was built by my dad to carry water via gravity to fields north of the house. That too, is a piece of craftsmanship. Stewardship is using properly what God has entrusted to us.

Run Julia...

Robin and Rachel took Caleb to meet up with the Union Center Middle School Team at a track meet in Belle Fourche today. Caleb was a little off on his jumping events and didi ok on his 400, but the talk was how Julia was able to step up today. One of the of the UC girls was injured for the medley relay and so coach Melanie Cammack asked Julia if she would like to run. The team all got excited...one girl had and extra pair of shorts...one girl had an extra shirt an so Julia ran...even though she is only a fifth grader. Rachel said of Julia, "She ran like a beast."

Construction Crew

Of course we have "sweet" fellowship as a crew when we get all together. Robin makes sure of that. Yesterday...wonderful homemade cookies and some of the best coffee around. And today, Danny made sure that Robin and him stopped at Wall Drug on the way home from Kadoka and they picked up some doughnuts from there. That along with ice cold milk..."oh my word!" Certainly makes for good times and fond memories.

We were able to start putting boards on the roof today. This livestock shed and tack room is 24'x68'. It has sure been nice to have days without the wind blowing.

A GOOD DAY

We have enjoyed some days without wind and work is progressing on the shed. We have not always had a full crew, however everyone enjoys working on it when possible.
